Owner-members are assured their forests are sustainably managed with a "third party" certification system using Forest Stewardship Council standards. This is similar to "organic" labeling and provides additional marketing opportunities for forest products. Working through the Cooperative reduces the cost of certification for individual landowners.

Owners receive, at a minimum, full market value for everything harvested from their land and share in the profits generated through value-added processing. Owners retain full control of their land and may customize the products produced from their forests for their own needs.

The Cooperative provides landowners with a place to turn for management questions and brings like-minded people together for a shared purpose. Together members help to create a stable local economy where the woodland ecosystem and human community flourish together.
