This is a good site for both industry professionals and woodworking hobbyists.
It has a wide variety of information including question & answer forums,
job listings, books, software, lumber & equipment exchange, directories,
articles, events, business and HR related items, etc.. Use caution on
forum as information quality is variable.
Wisconsin DNR
Site to access the Wisconsin DNR, has very nice menu-pick access to topics
and bureaus. (Note: Other states have similar web sites, frequently with
similar addresses, for example, for Michigan or Minnesota, substitute
a "mi" or a "mn" for the "wi" portion of
the url in the address bar.)
USDA Forest Service Forest Products Lab
If you have trouble finding your way to the FPL from the general site
to access the USFS, these two sites will get you there directly, very
useful information, in particular check publications which are downloadable.
Check both sites, they are different.

Forest Stewardship Council
The Forest Stewardship Council creates standards for sustainable forestry that are monitored by accredited organizations.

The third party certification provider for the Living Forest.
Community Forestry Resource Center
The CFRC has been collaborating with existing Sustainable Forestry Cooperatives and associations in North America since 1998 to develop resources and infrastructure to help facilitate their healthy development.
Sustainable Woods Network
The Sustainable Woods Network is helping to advance sustainably practiced forestry among private woodland owners. It provides a place for landowners to find responsible forestry service providers as well as forest products from well-managed woodlots.
